Abstract
CSP surface protein is expressed by spores of different Plasmodium species. Plasmodium vivax CSP protein contains three domains. The first domain is the area before the central repeat areas or the pre-repeat area or area I. The second domain number of the region after the central repetition sequence or post-repeat region or region II and the third domain of the central replication region, which contains 14 to 19 replication sequences of 9 amino acids which includes three different types of VK210-VK247-vivax-like. Central replication regions in type VK210 include the GDRA D/A/P GQPA amino acid sequence and in type VK247 have the ANGA G(N/D)/DD QPG amino acid sequence. In all 3 types, the region before the repetition regions contains the amino acid sequence of KLKQPA (domain I). The region after the central repetition regions (domain II) contains the amino acid sequence. GGNAGG is EWTPCSVTCGVGVRVRRRVNAA. These areas are the epitopes of B and T cells and are candidates for vaccines.
